A 4 night 5 day Road Tour and short Trek into the mountains east of Kathmandu. Departing Kathmandu we ride to the Tibetan Border and rest in the peaceful terraced gardens at The Last Resort. An early start gets us onto the road to Jiri. Built by Swiss engineers over 30 years ago the road climbs steeply over three passes before Charikot and through steep sided pine forests before emerging in the hidden valley of Jiri. In Jiri we take a short trek (or not) up the valley to another Swiss enterprise "The Cheese Factory", where at 2,633m. Yak milk is processed into butter and cheese. We picnic in beautiful alpine meadows and back down for afternoon tea. The next day we head back towards Kathmandu but stay on the valley-edge in Dhulikhel. Our last day winds back through old Newari Villages in the south of the Valley, lunch and back to your Kathmandu hotel. Tour EssentialsLocation: Central north Nepal.
