| Peter Francon self-styled explorer, team and tour leader, has traipsed, trekked, tramped and ridden across the Indian sub-continent exploring most of its furthest reaches.
His collection of Royal Enfield motorcycles have taken him - solo and leading tours for over 60,000kms. Sometimes leaving the bike and trekking beyond the 'black top'.
Following his first visit to India in 2001 he told friends he felt like he'd "Discovered a whole new world."

Birendra and Jitendra, our mechanics, work constantly to prepare - sometimes several weeks in advance of the Tour, your Royal Enfield Motorcycles and get them up to scratch and ready for the challenging Tour ahead. They work throughout the Tour, making adjustments to suit your style and comfort. They keep a constant eye open for breakages, loose things, wrattles and the occasional puncture. They carry out cleaning and full maintenance checks at all major stop-overs. |

When we get to more remote mountain areas particularly in Ladkah and Zanskar we call on the services of a local driver Jigmet Dorje a local driver from a small village beyond Leh. His knowledge of the highways and byeways all over the region is complete. There's a not a link road he hasn't driven. Jigmet's experience in supporting Tour groups across the region makes him the best choice for FreeSpirit Adventure, in terms of supporting the local economy, using local support teams, drivers and their vehicles, helps keep the local economy alive and well, given their short tourism season. He's helpful, fun and takes extreme care of his passengers. We love Jigmet! |

| Our Tour Team consists of two key members, Peter and Sherap who rides as our Road Captain cum Tour Guide.
Sherap brings to the Team a a deep understanding and knowledge of the culture and customs of a unique Nepal, combined with his linguistic skills in English, Hindi, Tibetan and Nepali, he has the ceredentials for successful tours of the Sub-Continent. A keen Bulleteer, he often rides all day up to his mountain village.

Keeping the show on the road requires that we have a full time support vehicle, carrying spares, equipment, tools, fuel and other supplies and victuals. Driving the Mechanic's Support Jeep is Raju 'Driver' Singh. His role is to shadow the Tour group all the way, just far enough back not to 'hustle' Riders and not too far as to delay necessary maintenance incidents. He's driven on almost every road across India, his knowledge of the highway and how to survive it, is vast and invaluable. To make a friend of Raju is to have peace of mind on the highway. |
