| Winter Solo Touring |
|
| While the northern hemisphere braced itself for the harshest winter in recent history, I had my sights set on Goa. Bullet and luggage loaded on a train, I headed south to explore new routes through India’s southern states. By Christmas day I was in Sri Lanka, riding a solo two week expedition on broken roads into the war-torn north, only recently open to visitors at the end the country’s 27 year civil war. By mid-January I was back in south India Touring Karnataka with a group of French Riders. For now it’s back to the office... Himalayan Season Coming! |

| Himalayan Season Coming! |
|
| Planning is underway for the Himalayan Season. Depart Delhi 16th July for our Flagship 4 week Himalayan Circuit - Spiti Ladakh Kashmir. Two stages: Shimla Spiti Leh & Ladakh to Kashmir each two weeks, through India’s north western Himalaya. Get your booking in soon for the high mountain Tours!
The highway over the Rhotang Pass is still a huge mess! Road widening has caused immense damage to the roadway and the expected heavy traffic have again convinced us our decision to ride the eastern route through the Spiti Valley is a wise one.
The advantages of riding the eastern route to Leh, gives us the chance to enjoy the unspoilt beauty through Spiti, the challenge of road-rivers into Lahaul and beyond. Highways into the Leh Valley have been repaired after last year’s devastating flood-slides and jeeps are once again plying the road into Zanskar. “Roads Open, will Ride!”
And if you haven't seen it yet, some of our Himalayan rides and Riders are featured in a short video - Click on the FrontPage Photo to see some real adventure!

| The Road to Lhasa |
| If you want to ride our Tibet Tour, we need your booking now! Depart Kathmandu 26th August. We’ll ride from Kathmandu to Lhasa and back. Ride there or back or the whole Circuit, Kathmandu-Lhasa and Lhasa-Kathmandu: 9 Day Tours. The Circuit: 17 days.
The three options each require careful planning. If you want to ride Kathmandu to Lhasa, you’ll be flying into Kathmandu and out of Lhasa. If you are travelling across China and want to ride to Nepal, you’ll have to get to Lhasa and fly out of Kathmandu. Riding the complete circuit you’ll fly into and out of Kathmandu.
We’ll visit Mt Everest base camp (north side) on the outbound and return legs, but we’ll return via a different route - further north, for part of the way.
The Planning for Tibet Tours takes time - we have to work through a morass of paperwork with the Chinese authorities to enable the successful running of these Tours... So we ask that anyone wishing to join the outbound – Kathmandu to Lhasa, the return route or the complete circuit, please contact us as soon as possible.

| Nepal Tours |
| We arrange Nepal Tours more to suit demand. If we’ve got three or four riders we run Tours through central and western Nepal.
These short Tours from 5 to 10 days and are popular with experienced Riders who have tight schedule or those wanting to combine a ride with a trek, river rafting in Mystical Nepal.

| Short Tours |
|
| More requests are coming in for short Tours. Given the distances to beautiful places from large centres we need 8 to 10 days giving Riders a chance to acclimatise, explore, undestand and appreciate... Summer choices include the Foothills of Himachal and UnMapped Uttarakhand. Winter choices include Goa and Kerala.
Typically shorter Tours call for more riding and fewer city stops and no rest days. Our northerly routes take in cool hill stations, dramatic hill roadsand the beautiful Valley of Flowers. Riding days are filled with twisties, climbs and loops, all through steep-sided green valleys, towering above raging rivers.
Riding in Goa or Kerala in the winter season is always a joy and week-long Tours give Riders the chance to taste the hidden delights of both of these states. We’ll post routes, dates and prices for southern Tours in the coming months.
We get you ‘in and out’ either by Jeep or by train, to where your motorcycles await you for some spectacular Touring. But remember, the seasons govern when and where to ride in India – in the summer we head north and in the winter we head south.

| Expeditions |
|
| Interested in an Expedition Ride? Experience the real adventure of exploring India’s less travelled regions. A few intrepid Riders have ‘taken the bait’. We’re still listening to your requests, but the options are narrowing to towards India’s north eastern tribal regions. We’ll be heading off in late September or October this year.
If we head to the north east, we’ll fly you into West Bengal’s Bagdogra airport and head east into Meghalaya, then north into Arunachal Pradesh riding as far east as time permits - direction China. Crossing the plains of Assam the ride will head north and later east through remote hilly regions. We’ll get you back by train from Assam’s capital Guwahati.
Expedition rides call for ‘True Grit’ and you may have to do your own laundry! We start with an outline plan and approximate timings, staying in the places we reach. We’re flexible and the journey may well change direction, depending on road, weather and stamina.
