You don’t have to drink beer, but a cold drink or a cup of tea and snacks after a long day’s ride is the norm.

Packing Essentials

Each rider will get two Panniers and one Sausage HoldallRiding in the Himalaya always requires a range of clothing.

The passes are sometimes very cold. Crossing Khardung La for example you will need a warm jacket. Evenings in the mountains are cold, we advise you bring a warm pullover or body-warmer.

South India calls for lightweight, cool clothing, with a thin pullover or fleece for chilly evenings. Riding during the day can get very hot, so protective or armoured clothing should be lightweight and well ventilated. Bring swimwear and a lightweight towel.

Ground Realities
River Crossings are one of the hazards we faceSometimes the road conditions are as tough as off-road riding.

Royal Enfield motorcycles are heavy (dry weight 160kg), these Tours are for the experienced rider.

In the mountains the distance we ride each day is sometimes governed by the altitude of passes en-route, typically a short day might be 100kms a long day could be 300kms.

Arriving
Plan to arrive at the latest on the scheduled Tour Start Date.Plan to arrive at the latest on the scheduled Tour Start Date. An additional day at the start and end of a Tour is always advisable if possible (particularly if flying to Leh, 3,500m, a day at the least is advised for acclimatisation).

Riders planning to arrive a day or so early can let us know arrival and departure dates, through the Rider Pages. Knowing your arrival and departure times helps us arrange airport Pick-Ups.
