Farmers Ploughing

The Japanese Government donated 3.32 billion Yen to be used for construction of a section of the Banepa-Sindhuli Highway planned as the main corridor between Nepalese capital city Kathmandu and the eastern districts of the country.

Farmers still employ oxen and bulls to pull the plough, methods which haven't changed for centuries. Tractors and mechanical ploughs can only be used on large fields and are typically found more in the Terai.
