An alternative route had already become most essential
for Kathmandu valley. In June, July and August
when the monsoon takes hold of the country, landslides and mudslides occurring at multiple
places block both Prithvi and Tribhuwan highways – two main existing trunk roads linking
the capital with the east and the west.This
route was clearly unaffected by the ravages of the monsoon.
Here two rivers joing have created a wide Tar, the flat fertile land at a
river bend.
