Payment Terms

Payments Can Be Made In One Or Two Parts

Payment for a Tour (or Expedition) can be made in one or two parts, a Full Payment or a Deposit Payment and Final Payment. Deposit Payments are taken at the time of Registering for a Tour Place.

  1. The Tour Deposit Payment is £500, for Rider, Pillion Passenger and Jeep Passenger.
  2. For Riders we add £300 for the refundable Motorcycle Security Deposit.
  3. The refundable Motorcycle Security Deposit is paid at the same time as the Tour Final Payment.
    This can be paid by PayPal (e.g. by credit card) or Bank Transfer.
  4. The Final Payment is the amount outstanding of the: (Full Tour Price At The Time Of Booking) - £500 (+£300 for the MSD for Riders only).
  5. This can be paid by PayPal (typically by credit card) or Bank Transfer. We will send out reminders in good time.

Payments are made through the Rider Pages PayPal using a credit card.

Tour Deposits   must be paid at the time of Booking with the Deposit Payment.

Final Payments must be paid no less than 8 weeks before the Tour Start Date. 
Bookings less than 2 months before the Tour Start Date must be paid In Full at the time of Booking.

On receipt of your Deposit Payment the price of your Tour or Expedition is guaranteed not to increase in cost and will not be subject to any surcharges. The Tour (or Expedition) Price is as per the published rate when you book your Tour (or Expedition) Place.

When we have received your Deposit Payment our Cancellation Terms apply. In the event of any Cancellation the Motorcycle Security Deposit will be refunded In Full.

Single Accommodation

Singles can opt for a Single Room, but we generally we put singles of the same gender together sharing a twin bedroom or a room with a double bed and a single bed. Single accommodation may not be available for the entire Tour. Generally we do not charge a Single Room Supplement, however for Tours entering Tibet we do charge a Single Supplement. Please see the Tour Essentials for specific Single Supplements.

Motorcycle Security Deposit

It is our policy to collect the Motorcycle Security Deposit as part of your Final Payment. The £300 Motorcycle Security Deposit is paid during the Final Payment process (or all at once if you are making a single payment). The Motorcycle Security Deposit will be repaid by the same method you paid FreeSpirit; after our Mechanic has inspected your motorcycle. It will be refunded within 2 weeks of the Tour ending.

The £300 Motorcycle Security Deposit - for each motorcycle, covers breakage and damage to the motorcycle and luggage, due to carelessness, excessively harsh use and dangerous riding. Unreasonable damage and breakages to motorcycle or luggage, will be charged. All the motorcycles are closely checked before and after the Tour.

Riders are responsible for the daily checks (e.g. tyres, oil, lights) on their motorcycles, it is important that riders inform The Road Captain and our Mechanics of any defect or problem with their motorcycle as soon as it becomes apparent. Our Tours pass through isolated and remote places and care for your motorcycle is important.

Note: The Motorcycle Security Deposit is charged at a higher rate for Self-Guided Tours.
