We are pleased to announce a new Tour route, Lhasa to Lumbini. We will publish this fully, as a Guided-Tour in the coming days.
Lhasa to Lumbini is a Tour that takes in the best elements of the Tibet sector and some of the most spectacular routes and locations through western and Central Nepal. It’s a Tibet & Nepal Motorcycle Adventure.
A Tour with a Buddhist ‘ring’ to its name, we first visit the Potala Palace once home to His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama. Across the Tibetan Plateau we’ll visit several remote Buddhist Gumpas, and latterly we visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, though the Tour will not end there...

Our Expedition around the North East of India has finished. Gerry and Peter agreed it was a great success.
We planned to ride for 25 days, in fact we spent an additional 3 days on the road, in the true spirit of an expedition.
There were also suggestions that it should have included some of the further reaches of Arunachal Pradesh and possibly Manipur and Mizoram so these and other suggestions will be incorporated into future expeditions. Given the nature of the roads in these remote regions of India, we both agreed we sometimes had to change our route, dropping some sectors and including others.
On our Expedition Rides we ride without jeep or mechanic support and stick to a loosely planned route, taking time to explore smaller local roads and tracks and spend time with locals. We don’t book hotels or rooms in advance, taking whatever is available en-route wherever we happen to arrive at night. We’ll travel with tents and sleeping bags should our night stop happen to be ‘in the middle of nowhere’.
You can read both their accounts of the Expedition on our Blog Page and decide for yourself if this is the type of ride you’d like to join.
Photos of the expedition can be seen here on the site, in FaceBook (if you Like that kind of thing) or on SmugMug. |

| Come October, our 3 week North East India Expedition will already be exploring beyond the road head at Yingkiong. Coursing up the Siang River - a steep sided wooded valley, we’ll reach Tuting and take the chance to ride further towards the border.
Yingkiong itself is a small sleepy market town 'at the end of the road', just as these pictures depict.

Preparations are now underway for the trip and those wishing to come should make contact soon.
