Welcome!

Melbourne Motorcycle Tourers Inc is a motorcycle club for gay males and lesbians. It is located in Melbourne Australia and has about 60 members.

We are a very informal group and welcome new members. We put out a monthly newsletter and participate in lots of Melbourne's gay/lesbian events as well as organising our own monthly meetings and monthly or twice monthly rides. Our members have all sorts of bikes including on road and off road and there is a growing group in the club who go off road riding on a regular basis in addition to our monthly road rides.

Our site contains a list of our events, galleries from some of the club rides, news from our club and a selection of gay & lesbian motorcycle club and other motorcycle oriented links.Our site also contains links for those who are thinking of learning to ride and for those who want information about coming out.

We welcome new members, however you must hold a current motorcycle licence or motorcycle learner permit to join the club.

The ride that was advertised as Hosko's Hunt certainly lived up to its name! We spent a large part of the day hunting stray riders who'd missed the corner markers. {details}

Eighteen tourers and two pillions attended this year's Night Ride, organised as always by Nigel (Smokie), taking in the sights of Melbourne with one or two surprises along the way. {details}

After a few recent trips that felt more like a drive-thru car wash than a motorcycle ride, the Tourers were today rewarded with perfect weather and glorious roads for our maiden voyage to Ruffy in North-east Victoria. {details}

17 Aug 2008: Darren's "Go West II" Tour
Ten tourers dressed warmly for a quick blast through Creswick, Ararat, Halls Gap and on to Warrnambool for an overnight stay (and some very Modern entertainments) before heading back to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road. {details}

The Motorcycle Tourers continued their wet-weather motorcycle road-testing this weekend with Phil's "Mystery Ride", in which we got to explore the mystery of why people ride motorcycles in driving rain. {details}
