| From the Shekhawati Tribal belt - west then south across Rajasthan, we ride an anti-clockwise route through the seats of Maharajas past, to Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur the capital. Avoiding major highways - you’ll get sand in your boots, as we ride long desert roads, across plains and plateaux.
We stay in beautifully restored merchant’s Havelis, in peaceful lakeside hotels where Royal Palaces float on mirror-still desert lakes and in Jaisalmer beneath the walls of the golden-walled fortress city. Double-stay days give Riders the choice to visit the hill top Monsoon Palace at Udaipur, the enchanted ridge top Palaces in Bundi and Amber. Or stroll through towns and meet the locals whose lives continue today immersed in the Royal Heritage of this majestic Desert State.
In the evenings enjoy the real hospitality of Rajasthan dining in rooftop restaurants with ‘fairly tale’ views. The final ride brings us close to Agra ready to visit the magnificent devotion to love, Taj Mahal.
